Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf was none too pleased by the fact he was ranked the eighth-fastest player in Madden 21.
DK Metcalf took to Twitter to discuss the top 10 “Speed” ratings for this year’s iteration of the esteemed football simulation. The 22-year-old joked he might have to run another 40-yard dash to boost his rating.
Stop playing, 😂 I need to run the 40 again huh? https://t.co/sMVoQo3flh

DK Metcalf dazzled at the 2019 NFL scouting combine with his blend of size and speed.
The 6’4,” 230-pound DK Metcalf ran a blazing 4.33 40-yard dash, a time which seemingly made him one of the top receiving prospects in the class.
Somehow, DK Metcalf fell all the way to the second round of the draft. The Seahawks selected the former Ole Miss product with the 64th overall pick, and D.K. rewarded the team’s faith in him with a tremendous rookie campaign.
DK Metcalf was targeted 100 times, hauling in 58 receptions for 900 yards and seven touchdowns. He was also dominant in Seattle’s Wild Card victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, catching seven passes for 160 yards and a touchdown.
The Seahawks are hoping Metcalf can become an even more threatening downfield playmaker in 2020. It would certainly help if Metcalf improved his ball security. The 22-year-old had seven drops and also fumbled three times last year.
Nevertheless, Metcalf’s emergence as a burner and jump-ball expert is a boon for Russell Wilson, who had one of the best years of his career last season despite the retirement of veteran receiver Doug Baldwin.
Maybe this perceived slight in the “Speed” category will prompt Metcalf to go off this year. Seahawks fans certainly would not be opposed.
